-It’s going to be a strong signal to PDP, other opposition parties ahead of elections – Team SOB
The representative of the Ikorodu Constituency I and the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade, has scheduled Saturday, January 19, 2019, for the official flag-off of his re-election campaign.
The much anticipated political rally has been slated to hold at the Ikorodu Local Government Open Ground opposite the Post Office, Ikorodu, by 10am prompt.
The flag off event would be the fourth edition to be held by the ranking lawmaker since his emergence in 2007 as his party’s flag bearer for the first time.
Since then, Hon. Agunbiade has successfully won four primary elections and three general elections.
He has also represented Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2011, 2011 and 2015 and 2015 till date consecutively.
The well-loved lawmaker has equally served in various capacities as a member of the House. Among the positions he held include Chairman, Judiciary and Human Rights Committee, Chairman, Commerce and Industry Committee as well as many ad-hoc committees.
Aside moving many impacting motions as well as sponsoring and co-sponsoring bills, Hon. Agunbiade initiated the compilation of all laws passed by the State Assembly, an idea taken over by the House.
Also, a committee he presided over handled the review of over 200 laws which had been in existence since the creation of the State Assembly and the reviewed laws have since been passed into laws.
Eminent individuals and groups are expected at the campaign flag off which according to the lawmaker’s team known as ‘Team SOB’, “is going to send a strong signal to the opposition parties that APC is the main party to watch out for at the poll”.
