3rd Oba Shotobi Independence Day Marathon: Organizers Postpone7.3km Race To October 13

The organizers of the Oba Shotobi Independence Day Marathon have postponed this year’s edition, scheduled to hold tomorrow (Monday) to Saturday, October 13, 2018.

It was gathered that the 7.3km race which has been staged for four years was shifted because of the rescheduled primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State

The Chairman of the Planning Committee of the 4th edition of the race (the race was changed from Hon. SOB Agunbiade to Oba Shotobi Independence Day Mini-Marathon in its second year in 2015), Mr Akeem Bello stated this in a release late Saturday

“On behalf of Hon. SOB Agunbiade, we announce the postponement of the Independence Day Marathon due to the APC Governorship election fixed for October 1st to sat.

He also announced that the new date for the annual sporting event among secondary school students in Ikorodu Division is Saturday, 13th of October 2018.
