Real Madrid Beat Liverpool 3-1 to Lift 2018 Champions League Final

Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 3-1, to retain their European Champions League in the final played at NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine on Saturday

Bale scored two goals, one of which was a magnificent overhead kick that put Madrid 2-1 up in the 64th minutes

Madrid capitalized Loris Karius blunder to opened scoring in the 51st minutes of the final. The Liverpool goalkeeper had threw the ball to Benzema’s foot which the striker did not hesitate in putting at the back of his net.

Klopp boys came back into the game in 55th minutes when Sadio Mane reacted swiftly to the rebounded ball from Dejan Lovren header.

Bale emerged as the star of the night with his magnificent overhead kick in the 63 minutes, to put Madrid 2 goals to 1. Marcelo’s cross had located the Welsh who connected with a bicycle kick flying past the Liverpool goalkeeper who experienced nightmare on the final night.

The Welsh compounded karius’s nightmare in the 83rd minutes when he fumbled Bale’s hopeful 30-yard shot behind him to make it 3-1 win for Madrid.

Tonight’s win gave Real Madrid a record 13th win in this competition, and their fourth in five seasons.

It is also third consecutive Champions League victory for the champion with coach Zidane making history as the first coach to win Champions league three times consecutively.
