The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Ikorodu Federal Constituency will on Thursday, October 29, 2026, be formally inaugurated in Ikorodu federal constituency by the state leadership of the platform initiated primarily to mobilise the grassroots for the re – election of President Bola Tinubu and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming General Elections in the country.

This was disclosed on Thursday by the Coordinator of the RHA in Ikorodu, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, at the secretariat of the group located within The Factor Corridor in Ikorodu.

The inauguration ceremony is themed, “Revalidating the Mandate of Hope: A Collective Historic Necessity.”

The RHA Coordinator who said about 5000 guests are being expected across Lagos State and from the six council areas in Ikorodu federal constituency, stated that there would be visitation to the palace of the Ayangbure of Ikorodu by the state delegation of the RHA to pay homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, and other royal fathers, which will kick –off the activities for the inauguration.

Prof. Femi Osun, RHA Director of Research and Planning, with stakeholders at the meeting

“We’ll move from the palace after the homage and the state delegation having brief discussion with the royal fathers, back to this place to commission this secretariat of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors. That will be about a 40-45 minute programme.”

“We will be giving award to Sen. Tokunbo Abiru on that day, for having done significantly much, and to that extent, we have decided that the conference room upstairs will be named in his honour. So, it will be the Tokunbo Abiru Conference Room, henceforth, right here in the Secretariat of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

The RHA Ambassador furthered, “After that, we will move to the Ikorodu Town Hall, where the inauguration of the Ward coordinators; polling unit coordinators, directors, deputy directors, and the secretaries will be conducted.

There will be oath swearing, officially, you know, a learned colleague, the legal directorate will arrange that.”

Speaking on the theme of the inauguration, the RHA Coordinator said President Tinubu remains the best option for Nigeria today and his re – election, thus, a collective responsibility.

“The summary is that, whether you like it or not, the best you can offer this system, this structure, this complexity, this Nigeria, is that we must ensure that Asiwaju comes back in 2027. That’s the summary.”

“Because there is a lot to say, that is the historicity and it becomes our collective responsibility and a necessity.”

“Whether you like it or not, that is the best option. The administration is building the foundation for the future of Nigeria, and there is no country that does not experience this phase. What has been left undone, abandoned since after independence is what he is facing headlong,” he emphasised.

While stating that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Muslim community, tritional institution, youths, artisans, CDAs and other stakeholders have been mobilised, Comrade Odesanya, also listed some of the guests being expected at the ceremony: Cardinal James Odumbaku (Baba Eto) as the chairman of the day; His Excellency Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former deputy governor, as the father of the day Senator Tokunbo Abiru as the special guest of honour and the only awardee; Honourable Jimi Benson as guest of honour and the chairman Ikorodu LG, Hon.
