The second annual Oro festival in Igbogbo Kingdom – Oro Meri will hold tomorrow, Thursday, September the 3rd, 2026.
The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, and his council have announced.
As custom, female residents will be restricted to the indoors during the festival starting from 12midnight on Wednesday (today) till 5:00am on Friday.
During the period of the festival, female visitors are also barred from coming into the kingdom.
Oro festival which is an age long tradition and custom of Igbogbo people is one of the festivals staged annually for spiritual purification and renewal of peace, unity, economic prosperity and harmony within the kingdom.
