The Executive Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, has charged residents of her local council to stand against any form of domestic and sexual violence.
Hon. Gbadebo – Alogba gave the charge while commemorating 2026 Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness Month.
This year’s edition is themed “Sexual & Gender-Based Violence – It Ends With Us”

”This theme reminds us that ending violence starts with each of us in our homes, our streets, and our communities. We must speak up against abuse, support survivors, and refuse to look away.”
”As a government, we remain committed to protecting the safety and well-being of women and girls across Ijede LCDA.
Therefore, I call on residents of Ijede LCDA to stand against domestic and sexual violence in all its forms. Every woman, child, and individual deserves to live safely and with dignity.”
