Ijede Emphasises Clean Surrounding, Responsible Environmental Practice

Ijede residents during th last environmental exercise





‎The authorities of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), have emphasised the importance of clean environment and responsible environmental practices, in support of government’s efforts at maintaining a healthy and sustainable environment.


‎During the August edition of the exercise held last Saturday, residents of Ijede in all the four wards of the council, trooped out in large numbers to participate.


‎The exercise saw refuse evacuation trucks deployed across all the four wards to support waste clearing and ongoing efforts to promote a clean, healthy and sustainable environment across the council area.




‎The Council Chairman, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, represented by her Vice, Hon. Femi Kabir, used the opportunity to engage directly with residents, urging them to support government efforts by maintaining clean surroundings and adopting responsible environmental practices as part of their daily activities.


‎Also part of the council functionaries that supervised the exercise were the Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Adejumoke Basirat Kehinde; all Councillors; Secretary to the LCDA, Hon. Olambiwonnu Kunle; Chief of Staff, Hon. Raheem Lateef; Council Manager, Engr. Olusegun Orelesi; the Director of Environmental Health Services, Sanitarian Mrs Olorunsola Christiana Olajumoke; as well as all Supervisors and Special Advisers.
