Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, has urged the Muslim faithful to be guided by the preaching and lessons of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) whose birthday is being celebrated globally, today.
Aroyewun in a statement congratulating Muslims on the celebration, called for the strengthening of bonds of unity, promotion of peace and compassion in our communities, and deepening of our commitment to serving humanity, as exhibited by the Prophet (SAW).
”As we commemorate Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), may we be reminded of his timeless lessons of compassion, humility, justice, patience, peace and service to humanity.”
”Allah says: ”Indeed, Allah showers His blessings upon the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O believers! Invoke Allah’s blessings upon him, and salute him with worthy greetings of peace.” Qur’an 33:56 ,” he quoted.
Aroyewun furthered:
”May this blessed occasion inspire us to emulate the noble character and exemplary life of the Prophet (SAW), strengthen our bonds of unity, promote peace and compassion in our communities, and deepen our commitment to serving humanity.
