Isese Day Provides Valuable Opportunity For Our People To Reconnect With Roots – Imota Chair

The Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has underlined the importance of the annual Isese Day Celebration to the people.

‎Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele in a statement commemorating the 2026 celebration stated that the day offers people of Imota the opportunity to reconnect with their roots, appreciate culture and ensure its preservation.

‎He congratulated head of Imota traditional institutions, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Mudashiru Ajibade Bakare-Agoro, the Ranodu of Imota, traditional chiefs, traditionalists and residents of Imota LCDA on the occasion of this year’s Isẹ́sẹ̀ Day celebration.

‎”Isẹ́sẹ̀ Day provides a valuable opportunity for our people to reconnect with our roots, appreciate our rich cultural heritage, and preserve the traditions that define us as a people.”

‎”It is heartening to see the people of Imota LCDA proudly showcasing our unique customs, cultural expressions, creativity, and artistry in commemoration of this significant day.

‎”These traditions serve as a bridge between our past, present, and future, reminding us of the importance of preserving our heritage for generations yet unborn.”

‎While assuring residents of inclusive government, Hon. Benson Ayodele commended them for ensuring unity and peaceful co – existence.

‎”As we celebrate this year’s Isẹ́sẹ̀ Day, I commend all residents for their peaceful conduct and continued coexistence despite our religious differences. Our administration remains committed to providing a level playing field for all residents, irrespective of their religious beliefs, affiliations, or inclinations.

‎”I therefore urge everyone to continue to promote peace, unity, mutual respect, and harmony while offering prayers for the peace, progress, prosperity, and economic advancement of Imota LCDA and Nigeria as a whole.”
