The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has celebrated a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Commissioner, Asiwaju Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, on his conferment with Master’s degree from the Department of Educational Management and Administration, Lagos State University (LASU).
Asiwaju Kaoli completed his programme as best graduating master’s student in his department with CGPA of 4.88.
Rep. Benson, who is the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Defence, in a congratulatory message on Wednesday, described the political and community leader cum educationist as a statesman of service, scholarship, and lifelong learning.
He lauded his passion for learning and development at 74, and graduating top of his class.
“Today, I celebrate a distinguished elder, statesman, educationist, and proud son of Ikorodu Division, Asipa Kaoli Ọlatunji Olusanya, on another remarkable academic milestone at Lagos State University.
“At a time when many would consider the pursuit of higher learning a chapter already closed, you have once again reminded us that age may advance, but the pursuit of knowledge need never retire. Graduating with an impressive 4.88 CGPA as the best graduating student in your department is not merely an academic achievement; it is a powerful statement about discipline, curiosity, excellence, and the limitless possibilities of a determined mind.”
Rep. Benson emphasised that the feat will go a long way to inspire many others especially the younger ones.
“Sir, your accomplishment is particularly inspiring because it complements a lifetime already devoted to public service, education, community development, and the empowerment of younger generations. You have shown by example that true statesmanship is not only about what we accomplish in public office, but also about the example we leave for those coming behind.”
“I warmly congratulate you on this well-deserved distinction and pray that Almighty God continues to grant you sound health, wisdom, strength, and many more years of impactful service. May this new academic achievement add another fitting chapter to an already remarkable life of service and excellence.
