The Lagos State Government has commissioned the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) Technical and Mechanical Workshop in Ijede Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Local Government, to enhance the maintenance of the Agency’s operational vehicles and equipment.
The facility situated at the LNSC Station in Ijede, behind the Fire Service Station, was commissioned on Wednesday.
In his welcome address, the General Manager of LNSA, Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, FISn, said the workshop would reduce maintenance downtime, improve the durability of operational assets and enhance service delivery. He expressed appreciation to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for his continued support in advancing the Agency’s capacity.
Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Hon. Olugbenga Oyerinde, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Sesan Ogundeko, MNi, described the facility as a strategic investment that would improve the Agency’s operational efficiency and reaffirm the Lagos State Government’s commitment to strengthening security infrastructure.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information, Strategy and Security, Hon. Stephen Ogundipe, and the Member representing Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, commended the initiative, describing it as a significant step towards strengthening security operations in Lagos State.
The event was attended by government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, security stakeholders and members of the Agency’s management team.
