In his relentless efforts to ensure flood free environment, the representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has flagged – off yet another drainage project in Ijede Local Council Development Area of Ikorodu Constituency II.
The new project Ire-Akari Drainage Outfall at Gberigbe Road, Ijede LCDA, which was facilitated by the lawmaker as part of his sustained commitment to improving infrastructure and addressing flooding challenges within the constituency, was flagged off on Tuesday.
The project, awarded to F.O. Engineering Limited, involves the construction of a 450-metre reinforced concrete drainage channel measuring 2 metres wide and 1.2 metres deep. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
The drainage project is designed to provide an effective channel for stormwater discharge, reduce perennial flooding, protect lives and properties, and improve road accessibility for residents and businesses in the area.
Speaking on the development, Hon. (Dr) Aro Moshood Abiodun reaffirmed his dedication to attracting impactful projects that improve the quality of life of the people of Ikorodu Constituency II.
He was represented at the flag -off by Hon. Ade Bolowotan.
AMA noted that infrastructure development remains one of his top priorities and assured constituents that more people-oriented projects would continue to be facilitated across the constituency.
The commencement of the Ire-Akari Drainage Outfall further reflects the lawmaker’s unwavering commitment to sustainable development, environmental safety, and the overall wellbeing of the people of Ijede and the entire Ikorodu Constituency II.
