The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Mayor Ameen Olawale Ibrahim Apanisile, on Thursday, received members of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government Administration, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development on a statutory oversight visit.
The committee led by Hon.Sanni Okanlawon, representing Kosofe Constituency, was received by the Chairman at the Ikorodu North LCDA secretariat.
Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Committee, Hon.Sanni Okanlawon, representing Kosofe Constituency, said the exercise was aimed at strengthening collaboration with local governments, promoting efficient service delivery and ensuring the prudent utilisation of public resources.
Mayor Apanisile, addressing the state lawmakers, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability, highlighting his achievements in healthcare, education, road infrastructure, poverty alleviation, staff welfare and other people-oriented initiatives.
He further assured the committee of his administration’s commitment to providing people-oriented policies and programmes that improve service delivery, while focusing on enhancing grassroots governance and sustainable development.
The high point of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the presentation of an official vehicle to the members of Legislative House of Ikorodu North LCDA.
