The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has applauded the Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, for facilitating the federal approval granted by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for the construction of Pacifi/Igbe Laara Road.
FEC, presided over by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, gave the approval for the construction of the N15.7b Pacific Road linking Igbe Laara, with Project Track Reference: ERGP12247885.
Chairman Aroyewun described the approval as a landmark achievement and another major milestone in a legislative career distinguished by vision, excellence, responsiveness, and an unwavering commitment to the development of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

According to the Chairman, “The Pacific Road project represents far more than the construction of a critical transport corridor, it is a reflection of Hon. Benson’s enduring dedication to addressing the infrastructural needs of the people and his consistent ability to attract meaningful developmental projects to communities across the constituency”.
He noted that over the years, Hon. Benson has established himself not merely as an elected representative, but as a dependable advocate for progress whose developmental footprint can be seen across roads, schools, healthcare facilities, empowerment programmes, and numerous life-changing interventions that have positively impacted thousands of constituents.
Speaking on the significance of the latest approval, Chairman Aroyewun said:

“Hon. Babajimi Benson is not just our representative at the federal level; he has become a symbol of purposeful and people-centred leadership. His developmental footprint is visible across our communities, from critical road infrastructure to educational interventions, healthcare programmes, youth empowerment initiatives, and strategic advocacy at the National Assembly.
“Across Igbogbo/Baiyeku, and indeed the entire Ikorodu Federal Constituency, there is hardly a family that has not felt the positive impact of his leadership. His commitment to service has remained consistent, deliberate, and measurable. Frankly, words have become inadequate to fully capture the scale of his accomplishments and the profound impact they continue to have on our people.
“We are not merely fortunate to have him as our representative; we are truly blessed. He has earned our deepest respect, our unwavering support, and our enduring appreciation for the exceptional service he continues to render to our constituency”.

Chairman Aroyewun further observed that Hon. Benson’s leadership has consistently risen above the transactional politics that often dominate public discourse, describing him as a progressive visionary who views public office not as a privilege to be enjoyed but as a sacred responsibility to be fulfilled.
He noted that the federal lawmaker has approached representation with uncommon diligence, integrity, and a relentless focus on delivering tangible results that directly improve the lives of ordinary people.
The Chairman also emphasised that under Hon. Benson’s stewardship, Ikorodu Federal Constituency has gained increased visibility and recognition on the national stage, while communities across the division have continued to benefit from strategic investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, youth development, and social welfare.
According to him, “Beyond the projects and physical infrastructure lies an even greater legacy: the restoration of public confidence in governance and the demonstration that responsive representation can indeed transform communities.

“When the history of modern Ikorodu Division is written, Hon. Babajimi Benson’s name will undoubtedly occupy a prominent place. He has not only facilitated roads, schools, healthcare projects, and empowerment programmes; he has strengthened public trust in leadership and demonstrated what is possible when public office is approached with sincerity, vision, and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
“He has given our people reason to believe in governance again. That is the mark of a statesman and a leader whose impact will endure for generations”.
On behalf of the leadership and people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Chairman Aroyewun expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Babajimi Benson, for his steadfast commitment to development, unity, inclusive progress, and exemplary public service.

He commended the federal lawmaker for remaining a worthy ambassador of Ikorodu Division and a shining example of transformational leadership whose contributions continue to advance the collective aspirations of the people.
