Ijede Council Authorities Urge Full Participation In Monthly Sanitation Exercise On Saturday

The authorities of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), have charged residents of the council to participate fully in the monthly environmental sanitation coming up on Saturday, June 27.

In a statement by the council, residents are urged to ensure that their environment are cleaned during the exercise holding between 6:30am and 8:30am tomorrow.

‎”All residents of Ijede LCDA are hereby reminded of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise, which commenced on Saturday, April 25, 2026, and will continue to hold on the last Saturday of every month from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

“Residents are encouraged to actively participate in tomorrow’s sanitation exercise, Saturday, June 27, 2026, by cleaning their surroundings, clearing gutters and blocked drainage channels, and properly disposing of refuse and other waste materials.”

‎The council also stated that human and vehicular movement will be restricted during the exercise.

‎”Movement of people and vehicles will be restricted during the sanitation period. Residents are therefore advised to comply with all sanitation regulations.

“A clean environment is a collective responsibility. Together, we can build a healthier, safer, and more sustainable Ijede,” the statement stated.
