The Group Managing Director, Egbin Power PLC, Egbin in lkorodu division, Mr Kola Adesina, MFR, has urged graduands of the first cohort of the energy company, to use the digital skills acquired to add value to themselves, their communities and the world at large.
Mokhtar Bounour, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, in his own remarks, charged the beneficiaries of the programme, to provide solutions with their knowledge.
The graduands completed six months of intensive, hands-on training in cybersecurity, data analytics, full-stack web development, graphic design, digital marketing and ICT fundamentals.

Adesina, at the graduation ceremony, challenged the graduands to train their minds, commit to continuous improvement, and use their knowledge to create value for their communities and the world.
In his own statements, Mokhtar Bounour urged them to take bold actions, build innovative solutions, and rise as ambassadors of possibility for a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.
According to the company, its responsibility extends far beyond generating electricity, it encompasses the people and communities where it operates.

”That conviction drives our Tech Empowerment Programme: a bold, structured investment in the young people of our host communities, designed to equip them with digital skills that open real doors in today’s economy.
”The ripple effect of this investment will be felt far beyond the individuals who complete the programme. Digitally skilled youth build businesses, employ others, solve local problems with technology, and draw economic activity into their communities — strengthening the host economy and positioning young Nigerians to participate meaningfully in the digital future.
The company said that it is not just building careers through the initiative, but also building communities; closing the opportunity gap, and laying the foundation for a generation that will shape Nigeria’s digital landscape for decades to come.

”We believe that when young people are empowered, communities thrive, and when communities thrive, Nigeria will witness unprecedented socio-economic development”.
