On the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration, the Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has described the children in Ijede as amazing and also the future of the country.
This year’s celebration is themed: “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion For Every Nigerian Child”
In a statement commemorating the day, she said that the council is celebrating the children’s dreams, talents and the joy that they have brought to their communities.

She assured that her administration is committed to giving them conducive environment where they can fulfill their aspirations and potentials.
