The authority of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has denied the rumour going round that there will be Oro rites and restriction in Ijede.
The council denying this as false, also assured guests and visitors coming for the final coronation ceremony of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Hon.) Adefarasin Saheed Hassan, the Ajanaku II, the Alajede of Ijede that the town is peaceful and free for their movements in and out.
The Office of the Chairman, Ijede LCDA said in a statement.

“The attention of the leadership of Ijede LCDA has been drawn to the false rumor circulating within the community regarding the alleged commencement of ORO rites.
“We wish to categorically state that this information is totally false. There is no ORO ritual or restriction of movement tonight anywhere in Ijede community.
“Residents, cummuters, guests, and visitors, dignitaries and well-wishers coming into town for the Alajede Coronation Ceremony tomorrow are hereby assured that the town remains peaceful, safe, and free for movements.
“Members of the public are advised to disregard the misleading rumor.”
