The incumbent representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) has recorded a massive victory over his opponent in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primary election in Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Matti Olakunle Alaiasau.

AMA polled 33,696 votes to defeat Matti who managed to record 114 votes.

He was declared by the APC Returning Officer for Ikorodu Constituency II, Mr Adeola Karonwi.

While the incumbent recorded massive votes across the three council areas in Ikorodu Constituency II – Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs, Matti was able to record six votes in the two wards in Imota and 108 votes from two wards in Ijede which happens to be the home base of both aspirants.

In Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, where AMA won in the entire four political wards, Matti did not record any vote. In none of the four centres did Matti have an agent or presence at all.

The election was peaceful across the three centres, but it was gathered that some supporters of Matti declined to participate in the counting.
