Prince Yommy Sopitan, former Executive Assistant to the Governor on Maritime has joined numerous others in celebrating the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson on his victory at the House of Representatives’ primary election in Ikorodu on Saturday.
Rep. Benson, who is seeking fourth -term in the House of Representative, secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to contest in the 2027 General Elections after recording 68,648 votes in Direct Primary election across 19 wards in Ikorodu.
In his tribute to his boss, Prince Sopitan said that the victory is well -deserved because of his representative and lawmaking impacts on his people and constituency.
“I congratulate and rejoice with my leader, Hon. Babajimi Benson MHR on his success in our party APC House of Reps primary election and his landslide victory to represent us, the Ikorodu Federal Constituency again in the House of Reps general elections in the year 2027.
“No one deserves the victory better than Hon. Jimi Benson as his record of huge commitments to serving us makes him deserve not just the 68,648 votes at our party primary election but 100% votes in the HoR general elections in 2027.
The former governor’s aide warned against anyone attempting to stop the popular lawmaker from another landslide victory at the forthcoming General Elections in 2027.
“His victory in our party (APC) primary election in relative to his landslide victory in the 2023 HoReps general election sounds a serious caution that Babajimi Benson’s candidacy in the year 2027 general elections is absolutely an heavily loaded high-speed train which nobody should dare try to stop unless a person who’s on a political suicide mission.
