Successful cataract surgery has been conducted for 15 constituents across the three council areas in Ikorodu Constituency II, through the facilitation of Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, the representative of the constituency.
The medical intervention is a key campaign promise of the first term lawmaker for residents across Ikorodu Constituency II – Igbogbo/Baiyeku, Ijede and Imota LCDAs.
The initiative, organised under the AMA Smile Foundation, provided hope and restored sight to several beneficiaries suffering from cataract-related vision problems. The surgeries were carried out successfully by medical professionals without complications, bringing relief and joy to beneficiaries and their families.

The 15 beneficiaries from Ijede LCDA, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, and Imota LCDA, who underwent the surgical procedures successfully are Festus Soroaye, Faniyi Razaq, Odewale Olalekan, Aishat Abdulahi (both eyes), Ibrahim Lamina, Olatoye Taiwo, Salisu Adebiyi, Olaleye Segun (both eyes), and Alhaji Morouf Afolabi.
Others are Ajayi Mojisola, Elizabeth Odubanjo, Alice Godia (both eyes), Enock Ogbonna, Monsurat Amusa and Abdul-Wahab Muhammad
Seven other applicants were unable to undergo surgery following medical examinations and professional recommendations by health experts. They suffered different ailments that might cause complications if they had undergone the surgical procedures.

Through the outreach, Hon. AMA has further shown continued commitment to accessible healthcare, community welfare, and people-centered representation.
