The Assembly noted that over the years, Rep. Benson has distinguished himself through people-oriented representation and strategic interventions that have directly improved the socio-economic wellbeing of constituents. According to the group, his commitment to infrastructure development, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and human capital development has positioned him as one of the most impactful lawmakers in contemporary Lagos politics.
The statement highlighted several landmark achievements credited to the federal lawmaker, including the facilitation and construction of strategic roads within Ikorodu Federal Constituency, provision of hospital beds and healthcare support materials to medical facilities, sponsorship of youth development programmes, educational support initiatives, and grants to young law graduates to support their professional advancement.

The youth body also commended Rep. Benson for creating international exposure opportunities for young people through exchange and capacity-building programmes in China and other developed countries, describing the initiative as visionary and transformational.
“Rep. Babajimi Benson has consistently demonstrated capacity, competence, and compassion in leadership. His representation has gone beyond legislative debates to practical interventions that touch lives across communities in Ikorodu Division. From infrastructure to education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and global exposure programmes, the impacts are visible and undeniable,” the statement read.

The Assembly further stated that the forthcoming APC primaries present an opportunity for party stakeholders and delegates to sustain effective representation by supporting Benson’s return to the House of Representatives.
“As young people and stakeholders in the future of Ikorodu Division, we believe experience, performance, and accessibility remain critical in leadership. We therefore call on APC delegates, party leaders, and stakeholders across Ikorodu Federal Constituency to overwhelmingly support and return Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson at the primaries on Saturday, May 16, 2026,” the statement added.
