-Reinstates further commitments to Ikorodu’s development

The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, has announced that he is seeking re – election to continue to represent the people across the six Local Government and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in Ikorodu Federal Constituency officially.
Rep. Benson, the Chairman, House of Representatives’ Committee on Defence, is seeking historic return to the National Assembly for the fourth term.
The lawmaker, who the generality of Ikorodu electorate has pushed to contest for Lagos Governorship and recently, has also been called out to seek re – election back to the House after the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), announced the Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, as its consensus candidate, in a statement today said that he announced his re -election aspiration during the visit of members of his political Ward – Ward C4, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, on Thursday.

“Yesterday morning, I had the privilege of hosting leaders, stakeholders, and loyal party members from my Ward – Ward C4, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA – at my Constituency Office for a very important engagement on the future of our dear Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
“The meeting provided an opportunity for me to formally declare my intention to seek reelection as your representative in the House of Representatives, so we can continue the journey of purposeful representation, strategic development, and people-centred interventions across our division,” Rep. JB declared.
The ranking lawmaker said that the outpouring of support that accompanied the declaration were overwhelming and expressed thanks for the vote of thanks and confidence that leaders and members of his party have reposed.

Rep JB pledged his total commitment to the development of Ikorodu.
“I was deeply humbled and inspired by the overwhelming turnout, the sincere expressions of support, and the unanimous vote of confidence reposed in me by leaders and stakeholders present at the meeting. Even those who were unavoidably absent joined virtually and sent warm messages of encouragement, reaffirming their belief in our shared vision for A Greater Ikorodu.
“Particularly touching was the collective resolve that the good work must continue until Ikorodu fully attains the enviable status we all dream of – the “Miami of Lagos,” a thriving, modern, economically vibrant, and globally respected division.

“I remain profoundly grateful for the trust, support, and confidence our people continue to place in me. By the grace of God, we will continue to build, expand opportunities, and deliver sustainable progress for every community across Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
