The Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele (BSA), has procured three utility vehicles to strengthen revenue generation and improve operational efficiency within the council area. The acquisition forms part of the administration’s ongoing commitment to enhancing service delivery and boosting the council’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).
The newly procured vehicles are expected to support the activities of revenue officers and other relevant departments responsible for monitoring, enforcement, and revenue collection across the council area. The initiative is also aimed at improving mobility, supervision, and timely response to official assignments within Imota LCDA.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele stated that the procurement reflects his administration’s determination to build a more productive and financially sustainable local government system.
He emphasised that effective revenue generation remains essential to the execution of developmental projects and the delivery of quality services to residents.
According to the council chairman, the vehicles will enhance the capacity of field officers to carry out their responsibilities effectively, while reducing operational challenges previously encountered in the discharge of official duties. He noted that the move would significantly improve accountability and efficiency in revenue administration.

Hon. Benson Ayodele further reiterated his administration’s commitment to prudent management of public resources and strategic investments that would yield long-term benefits for the people of Imota LCDA. He added that the council would continue to introduce initiatives capable of strengthening governance and promoting grassroots development.
The Chairman also urged revenue officers to ensure proper maintenance and responsible usage of the council’s assets. He stressed the importance of dedication, professionalism, and integrity in the discharge of their duties for the overall progress and development of the local council.

The Council Manager, Mr. Akinyemi Olusegun, commended the initiative, describing it as a practical step towards improving the operational capacity of the council administration. He expressed optimism that the development would further enhance revenue generation and accelerate infrastructural and community development projects across Imota LCDA.
The procurement of the three utility vehicles adds to the series of developmental and administrative reforms being implemented under the leadership of Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, as his administration continues to prioritise efficiency, transparency, and sustainable development within Imota Local Council Development Area.
The three new buses will be presented officially on Monday by the Chairman.
