Hon. (Dr.) Oluniyi Oladeji Akinola, a former Ikorodu North LCDA chairmanship aspirant and members of his foundation, Oluniyi Oladeji Akinola Dynasty, have declared their support for the second term re -election bid of Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, the representative of Ikorodu Constituency I.
The grassroots politician in a statement said that he and his political family are rooting for the second term membership of the Assembly for Hon. Ogunleye for continuity of his representation.
“I, and my working team – Oluniyi Oladeji Akinola Dynasty, are declaring our support for all the incumbent representatives of APC from Ikorodu for their quality representation and it is in this wise that we are throwing our weights behind the return of Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye.
“He has proven to be a competent representative and capable of continuing for the second term. We have no doubt that he will perform better if returned back to the House.
“This is about sustaining progress and ensuring that the work already started continues without interruption,” he said.
He advances the position that the incumbent will use his second term in office to consolidate his representation and he, therefore, should be given the chance.
“The combination of quality of representations from those representing Ikorodu in the recent past has brought about progress and development and we cannot change a winning team. It is on this basis that we are clamouring for support for Hon. Ogunleye.
“He has learnt the process and made progress in his first term, it is now time for him to consolidate his representation in his second term and let us all give him maximum support,” he appealed.
It will be recalled that Hon. (Dr.) Oluniyi Oladeji Akinola who aspired for the chairmanship position last year and members of his foundation a few days ago declared support for the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson’s bid for 4th term in office.
