The leadership of the Justice Forum (JF) in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has denied the newspaper report alleging that the forum is opposed to the fourth term re – election of Rep. Babajimi Benson as the representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
The report which has been generating reactions from Ikorodu constituents most of whom have been clamouring for the return of the lawmaker. Some are even calling on the party leaders to make him the Governorship candidate of the party in Lagos State in the coming general elections.
The leadership of JF in a statement titled, “DISCLAIMER BY JUSTICE FORUM IGBOGBO/BAIYEKU LCDA”, signed by its Publicity Secretary, Olakulehin Samson (DE WAY), said that there was no such decision by the group describing the claim as false and misleading.

”The leadership and entire members of Justice Forum Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA wish to categorically distance ourselves from the publication credited to our group as reported in Punch Newspaper regarding the alleged opposition to the fourth term aspiration of Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson (JB).
”We state unequivocally that at no time did any directive emanate from our revered leader Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun instructing any member of the Justice Forum to work against Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson. Such claims are false, misleading and do not reflect the position of our group.”
The group affirms that Rep. Jimi Benson has been exceptional in his representation and that he has facilitated and initiated impactful projects and programmes.

”Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson (JB) has demonstrated exceptional representation and impactful leadership across Ikorodu Federal Constituency. His contributions are visible and widely acknowledged particularly in the areas of road infrastructure, healthcare development, youth and women empowerment, educational support initiatives and the strengthening of unity within our great party the All Progressives Congress (APC).
”His performance speaks for itself and remains evident to all including the most critical observers within the constituency.”
JF leadership also clarified that the Vice Chairman of its group mentioned to have spoken against Rep. Benson never said what was attributed to her.
”Furthermore, we wish to clarify that the individual mentioned in the publication Mrs Yemi Sanni has never acted against Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson and does not represent any anti JB position within the Justice Forum. The attribution is entirely incorrect.

”We therefore urge the general public, party members and stakeholders to disregard the said publication in its entirety as it is a misrepresentation of facts and a deliberate attempt to create unnecessary tension within our political structure.
”Justice Forum remains committed to unity, discipline and the progressive ideals of our party.”
