The release of the cabinet positions in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has thrown up some surprises and revalidated the assertion that nothing is certain in politics.
In the list released by the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government Affairs & Rural Development, Lagos State, Mr Bolaji Roberts, on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday, a former Supervisor for WAPA, Hon. Rukayat Jibike Salau, who was included in the list represented a surprise to many.
Jibike Salau, who is a highly connected grassroots politician and socialite is a chieftain of iCare Foundation of Rep. Babajimi Benson.

Another surprise on the cabinet list is former Councillor and former Majority Leader, Ikorodu West LCDA legislative arm, Hon. Aramide Adebowale Kalejaiye. Also, returning to the local government administration is Hon. Ibrahim Kuti who formerly served as Supervisors.
It was gathered that the former vice chairman and former chairmanship aapirant in the council, Hon. Sesan Dada, may have secured the supervisory councillor-ship position for Kalejaiye who is his leading foot soldier for his loyalty.
Yomi Samuel Shoderu, who acted as the SLG following the demise of Hon. Femi Anifowoshe, and whom Hon. Sulaimon preferred to be confirmed in substantive capacity was also given a supervisory position.

Others on the list as supervisors are former cabinet members that served with Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon in his first term – Adewale Salisu, Morenike Osokoya, Muhydeen Olatunji Yusuf, Adelani Okunade, and Rashidat Awodogan.
Also on the cabinet list are Olaomo Gbadamosi, Biliqis Adebayo, Femi Dairo, Owolowo Adewale, Adekunle Balogun, Ibrahim Alogba, Abimbola Rasheedah Adelaja and Mistura Afolake Adekoya.
THE IMPACT gathered that the Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju is not happy with some of the appointees and has expressed his displeasure at the development.
