The ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration exercise has received a boost as the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, facilitated the deployment of National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) officials to strategic locations within the council, to ensure a smooth and inclusive registration process.

The APC e-registration exercise commenced on January 5th, 2026, across the council area.

According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Chairman, Oluwaseun Ajayi, in a statement on Tuesday, he said that the deployment of NIMC officials was due to challenges posed by the inability of many residents to complete their e -registration because of lack of NIN.

“To address this gap and ensure that no resident is excluded, NIMC personnel have now been stationed alongside registration agents at designated centres.

“Currently, NIMC staff are operating from the Ayegbami area of Igbogbo, covering Igbogbo Central and surrounding communities, while another team is stationed at the APC Party Secretariat in Ibeshe Kingdom. This arrangement allows residents without a NIN, to enroll on the spot and immediately proceed with their APC e-registration, effectively removing a major obstacle to participation”, the statement added.

The Chairman urged residents to take advantage of this development, noting that the process has now been simplified and made more accessible. He emphasized that the initiative is driven by the need to encourage broad civic participation and ensure that all interested residents can exercise their right to register without unnecessary difficulty.

Chairman Aroyewun specially appreciated Hon. Babajimi Benson (JB), member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, for facilitating the provision of the digital machines currently being used for the registration exercise.

He also acknowledged Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, for his pivotal role in coordinating NIMC engagement and ensuring the timely deployment of personnel to IBLCDA.

Residents across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, are encouraged to visit the designated centres promptly to complete their NIN enrollment and APC e-registration, as the nationwide exercise is scheduled to conclude later this month.

According to the council, the e-registration is going on steadily across various centres within the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
