Senegal has qualified for the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), after beating Egypt 1 – 0 in the semi -final game, played at the Grand Stade de Tanger, Morocco.
Today’s win made it 7th final for the Senegalese in the AFCON history.
Liverpool player, Sadio Mane scored the only goal of the encounter for Senegal in the 78th minutes.
The Teranga Lions did not just win the game, but dominated the first semi -finals with 65% to Egypt’s 35%. Senegalese also had 11 shots at goal compared with 4 recorded by the North African team. 4 of the shots were on target.
Senegal will face the winner of the tie between Nigeria and Morocco.
