2026: We Are Building Greater Imota LCDA That Works For Everyone – Chairman

The Executive Chairman, Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele, has assured residents of the council that the target of his administration is to build an Imota that works for everyone.

Hon. Benson Sunday Ayodele in a statement said that towards achieving a working council, his administration will focus on sustainable infrastructure, drive economic growth, and deepen community impact through innovative and people-centered programmes.

As residents of Imota joined millions of others into 2026, the council chairman acknowledged their resilience and contributions that defined the previous years.

“As we step into 2026, I celebrate the resilience, innovation, and unity that defined our journey through 2025. Together, we overcame challenges, achieved historic milestones, and set new benchmarks for excellence in governance, infrastructure, and social development.

“In 2025, within five months in office, Imota LCDA rose to new heights — launching transformative projects such as the ongoing grading of major internal roads across our political wards, the distribution of free GCE forms, the “A Day with the Executive Chairman” programme, the award of financial grants to undergraduate students, and delivering groundbreaking initiatives in health, education, and youth empowerment.

“These achievements positioned Imota LCDA as a beacon of progress and a shining example of what is possible when leadership and the people work in unity.”

Hon. Benson espousing his administration’s plans to make Imota livable and functional, added:

“As we move forward, our vision remains clear: to build a Greater Imota LCDA that works for everyone. In 2026, we will focus on sustainable infrastructure, drive economic growth, and deepen community impact through innovative and people-centered programmes.

“The future of Imota LCDA is bold, inclusive, and full of limitless possibilities.
