The Special Adviser on Rural Development to the Governor of Lagos State, Dr Nurudeen Agbaje has said that the flag – off of the 4.2-kilometre Onosa/Onosa Y Junction–Fokunmade/Onosa Road in Ibeju-Lekki LCDA, is part of the efforts of the present administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu to regenerate rural infrastructure.
The road runs from Onosa Road through Onosa Y Junction to Fokunmade and links Onosa Road 4 to the Expressway.
Dr Agbaje speaking on the road project, said it would be completed within 18 months and the road system is expected to have interlocked pavement, covered drainage and solar -powered streetlights.

“The Lagos State Government flagged-off the construction of a 4.2-kilometre Onosa/Onosa Y Junction–Fokunmade/Onosa Road in Ibeju-Lekki LCDA as part of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda to enhance rural infrastructure.
“The project will feature interlocked paving, a covered drainage system measuring 750 mm × 750 mm, a 7.3-metre carriageway, and solar-powered streetlights to ensure safety and sustainability,” he said.
The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LCDA, Hon. Sesan Olowa, commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his commitment to infrastructural development, adding that approximately ten major road projects are currently ongoing in the council area courtesy of the Lagos State Government.
