LG Polls: APC Presents Ijede Chairmanship Candidate, Running Mate To Traditional, Religion Leaders

Ahead of June 12 Local Government elections, the Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally presented its Chairmanship candidate, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba and her running mate, Hon. Femi Kabir, to the traditional and religion leaders in the council.

The duo who are serving Chairman and Vice Chairman were presented by the APC LOC led by Mr Kiyesola Awosanya, as it continued with its stakeholders’ engagement tour.

The first stop was the Alajede-in-Council, led by High Chief Musediku Aliu, the Regent/Olisa of Ijede. During the visit, key community concerns were shared, and prayers were offered for the candidates’ success at the polls.

The delegation then met with the Council of Baales, led by Chief Saulabiu, to further galvanize grassroots support for the party’s flagbearers.

A courtesy visit was also paid to the Obateru-in-Council, where HRM Oba (Dr.) AbdulAkeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, the Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, congratulated the candidates. He encouraged them to remain connected to the grassroots and offered his royal blessings for a successful election.

To conclude the day’s tour, the team visited the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Ijede Chapter, led by Rev. Kolawole Peter. Community-related discussions were held, and the clergy offered heartfelt prayers for a peaceful and victorious election season.
