The outgoing Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Sesan Daini, has enjoined members of his political group, and the generality of the residents in the council to support and vote massively for the Chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the July 12 Council Elections.
Daini gave the directive to members of his political caucus, Isokan, on Wednesday when the APC flag bearer and the party’s campaign team paid a visit to the group’s Secretariat at Oreyo in Igbogbo, as part of the ongoing consultations towards the elections.
Daini, speaking, enjoined members of the group to recognise the candidate as a God-chosen one, and give him all the necessary support.

“While men will always try things their way, God always has its way and He is the one that places anyone in a leadership position.
“Hammed Aroyewun has been chosen as the best candidate for the chairmanship position of the council, and we must all give him support and respect him.
“It is normal for many to aspire for a position, but once a person is picked, it is expected that such should be honoured and supported. Whoever that said that he or she is not pleased will be left to face the consequences of his actions.

“Come July 28th or 29th, he will be the chairman of the council. He too would serve and one day, he would have to leave the office and pave the way for another person to administer the council”, the outgoing Chairman said.
He prayed for a successful tenure for him.
Daini also appealed to members of Isokan Group to intensify all efforts in their campaign for votes for the Chairmanship candidate by ensuring that he garnered massive votes in the coming election.
While stating that his responsibility as the Deputy Director Media & Publicity of the APC campaign in Lagos State and also serving as the Secretary of the APC campaign in Lagos Senatorial East as well as Director of Media in Ikorodu Division, has prevented him from going to all campaign outreach with the Chairmanship candidate, he assured him of his total support.

He urged party members to also embark on sensitization to let residents know the challenges that they are facing in terms of economy is temporary as policies of President Bola Tinubu, would soon give them reason to smile.
The outgoing Chairman informed the candidates, party chieftains and members that his administration will still commission many projects among which is the ultra – modern Adeboruwa Palace in Igbogbo, before the expiration of his tenure.
“Aside from the palace commissioning, we are also going to commission five schools. One is at Elepe, another one in Igbogbo and Ilado. Others are in Olu – Odo and Ibeshe. That’s how we have spread it.

“Before our final day in office, we are also going to commission two health centers in Igbogbo and Igbe.
“I am stating all these to show that we have projects to campaign with and tell the people what we have achieved”, he said.
The APC candidate, Hammed Aroyewun commended the outgoing administration for providing a solid foundation for the next to continue from.
“We have a very well solid foundation on the ground for us to start our administration”, he said.
While stating that it’s normal for two brothers to disagree or even fight, Aroyewun also said that whatever that happens during the primary should have been forgotten.

He said that he is going to need the experience and counsel of the outgoing Chairman, in running effective administration.
“Whatever that we want to do during our own tenure, we will consolidate whatever our boss has done”, he added.
While also stating that he wants to be boasting as the chairman with the highest number of votes in the state like Rep. Babajimi Benson is doing at the moment as the lawmaker with the highest number of votes in the country, Aroyewun pleaded with the party leaders to work for the party in ensuring massive votes.

He also promised an inclusive government and pleaded for friendship and cooperation.
Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Chairman, APC, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, who presented the party’s flag bearers to the Isokan Group, also solicited for the suport of members in canvassing for votes for them.
Among prominent chieftains at the parley were Hon. Gbenga Oshin, Director General, APC LOC, Barr. Ade Ayeni, Vice Chairmanship candidate, Mr Ade Bolowotan, Chief of Staff to the outgoing Chairman among others.
