The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has revealed that HiTech, the contractor handling the construction of Igbogbo – Bola Ahmed Tinubu – Igbe Laara Road has received the necessary funding required to complete the project.

Hon. Aro stated today, that the Accountant General in the state confirmed the payment to the contractor who has been on the road project for over eight years due to paucity of funds.

The lawmaker said that the breakthrough was achieved through his persistent follow – up with the Governor Babajide Sanwo – Olu.

“Today, I had a very productive meeting with the Accountant General of Lagos State, and I am pleased to inform you that the full funds required to complete the Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Igbe Road project have been officially released to the contractor, HiTech.

“This funding covers the entire scope of the project, including the long-anticipated bridge component.

“Even though this project has suffered delays for a very long time, I remained consistent and relentless in following up — leveraging Mr. Governor’s commitment to infrastructure development to push through not just this road, but other projects across Ikorodu Constituency II. This is a testament to what is possible when leadership is responsive and determined to serve the people,” Hon. Aro said.

He hinted that HiTech Construction Company has also confirmed the receipt of the project fund and will be resuming work fully on Monday.

“After my meeting with the Accountant General, I immediately contacted an official of HiTech. The Project Manager confirmed that the funds have been received and assured that the company will resume work on-site this coming Monday. According to the contractor, the project is scheduled for completion within six months.”

Hon AMA furthered, “This news has already been communicated to our political stakeholders across Igbogbo Kingdom, and I have also personally informed our royal father, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamarudeen Kasali Orimadegun, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo.

“This development is a big win for our constituency and a clear demonstration of the Lagos State Government’s dedication to fulfilling its promises. I sincerely thank Mr. Governor for his unwavering support and for making this a reality.

“Let us continue to work together, stay hopeful, and remain united as we enter the final and most important phase of this critical project,” he said.
