-Call for unraveling of perpetrators, justice

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) chapter, has mourned one of its member and the 2023 Miss Ikorodu West LCDA, Ms. Nifemi Funmilayo Ogunlana who died in a very gruesome manner.
THE IMPACT gathered that the lifeless body of Nifemi, who was declared missing a few days ago, was found somewhere in Oyo State.
In a statement released on Monday by the Coordinator, NYCN, Comrade Taiwo Anuoluwapo, he said that the late Nifemi headed for Ibadan on June 2, for a film shoot when she fell victim to a heinous crime.

“According to preliminary reports, Nifemi was heading to a film shoot in Ibadan when she fell victim to a heinous crime. Unknown individuals allegedly robbed, raped, and murdered her in cold blood,” he said.
On behalf of the NYCN, Ikorodu West LCDA, the Coordinator expressed sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Nifemi on her untimely and tragic death.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to Nifemi’s family, friends, colleagues, and the entire NYCN Ikorodu West community. May her memory be a blessing, and may her legacy lives on.

“We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in the search efforts and raised awareness during her disappearance. Your support and concern have not gone unnoticed”.
The NYCN, however, called on the law enforcement agents to unravel the circumstances surrounding Nifemi’s death and brought the perpetrators to book.

“We echo the sentiments of her loved ones, praying that justice will be served swiftly and that those responsible for this atrocious act will face the full weight of the law.
“May Nifemi’s soul rest in peace, and may her family find strength during this difficult time”, NYCN Coordinator.
