Tributes have continued to pour in for the late Secretary to the Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, Hon. Femi Anifowoshe, who died late evening on Monday.
Anifowoshe died after a brief illness, which he was already recovering from, according to a family member.
He has been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites.
In its tribute, Office of the Executive Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, described the late SLG as a committed and dedicated official.

“With heavy heart we announce the demise of a committed and dedicated Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Femi Anifowoshe, who died today after a brief illness.
“May the Lord in His infinite Mercy rest his soul and grant the family, the children he left behind the fortitude and solace to bear this irreplaceable loss.
“May his soul rest in peace.”
A resident, Etim Michael also paying his tribute said that his death has thrown the entire Ikorodu West into mourning.
“Ikorodu West as a whole is mourning, It is sad news indeed, but who can question God… Adieu Hon Femi Anifowose.

“Rest In perfect peace.”
Hon. Sesan Dada, former Vice Chairman and chairmanship aspirant, Ikorodu West LCDA and his GODCO family paying tribute to the late Anifowoshe whom they described as a leader, expressed deep sadness over his untimely passage and condoled with his family.
“To the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues of the late Hon. Femi Anifowose, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of our beloved patriarch, friend, brother, and leader.
“May Allah grant the family strength to bear this irreparable loss.

“The GODCO Family is deeply saddened by this heartbreaking news. Hon. Femi Anifowose’s dedication, service, and leadership will be greatly missed.
“May his legacy live on, and may Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
“May his soul rest in peace Amen.”
Prince Bolaji Ogunsanwo, a former chairmanship aspirant, Ikorodu West LCDA, also mourning the late, Secretary, Femi Anifowoshe, described him as a humble and dedicated public servant.

“It is with a heavy heart and deep sense of sorrow that we mourn the sudden and painful passing of Hon. Anifowose Femi, the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG) of Ikorodu West LCDA.
“The news of your departure came as a shock to all of us. It is difficult to come to terms with the loss of such a humble, hardworking, and dedicated public servant whose commitment to the development of Ikorodu West LCDA was unmatched.
“Hon. Femi was not only a dependable administrator but also a bridge-builder, a team player, and a true son of the soil. His contributions to governance, peace, and youth engagement will remain in our hearts and in the history of our community.

“Your legacy of service and loyalty will never be forgotten. You lived with dignity and left with honour.
“We pray that the Almighty God grant your soul eternal rest, and may He comfort your family, friends, and the entire Ikorodu West community in this moment of grief.
“Sleep on, Hon. Anifowose Femi. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” he said.
A former Head teacher, Mrs Bisi Mustapha Bello, also lamented the death of Anifowoshe:
“This is serious! Femiiii!

“Inalilahi Wai ilehirajiun,” she said.
Comrade Ojo Adenusi, from Ebute -Iga CDA, also expressed his shock at the unfortunate development:
“This is sad news, on behalf of the Ebute IGA CDA,we pray to God to grant him eternal rest, also for the family to bear the irreparable loss.”
