The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) has urged the Muslim faithful not to see the Eid el Kabir celebration as a period to wine and dine or eat and drink, but a celebration that they should use to renew their commitment to selflessness, unity and service to humanity.
Hon. Aro gave the exhortation in his statement commemorating the celebration this year.
“Eid al-Adha Mubarak to the Wonderful People of Ikorodu Constituency II

“Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
“On this sacred occasion of Eid al-Adha, I join the Muslim Ummah across the world in celebrating the spirit of sacrifice (Qurbani), obedience, and faith in Allah (SWT). This festival reminds us of the profound submission of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and the mercy of Allah, who provided a ram in place of his son —teaching us that with sincere faith, no sacrifice goes unnoticed.

“As we mark this Eid al-Kabir, I urge us all to embody the true essence of this celebration: Taqwa (God-consciousness), Ikhlas (sincerity), and Rahma (mercy) towards one another. Let us use this time not only to share meat and joy with our families and neighbours, but to renew our commitment to selflessness, unity, and the service of humanity,” he exhorted.
The lawmaker also prayed for blessings in every home and thanked Ikorodu Constituency II residents for their support towards his representation.

“May Allah (SWT) accept all our acts of worship, grant barakah (blessing) in our homes, and elevate our community. Ameen.
“I am deeply grateful for the continuous trust and support you have shown. As your representative, I remain committed to serving you with humility and sincerity, working together to uplift every household in our constituency.
“Eid Mubarak! Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum.”
