Aarebirin (Hon.) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC) and the Vice Chairman, Ikorodu Local Government, has stated that she remained a dedicated, loyal and passionate party person to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The incumbent Vice Chairman, Ikorodu LG, who was a Chairmanship aspirant in the just concluded APC primary election, made the assertion while chatting with THE IMPACT on Saturday, on her stance regarding the emergence of Prince Adedayo Ladega and Mr Babawale Alogba, as Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidate of the party respectively.

Aarebinrin Oba, did not take part in the final phase of the reconciliation/press conference by the 15 aspirants that procured the party’s nomination forms and participated in the May 10 primary elections held at ACME, Ikeja, nor signed the statement that was read by Alhaji Murisiku Ajisebutu (Marshal), on behalf of others that are now known as ‘Class of 2025’, at the press conference held at the AiRoyal Hotel during the week.
“I am very much a dedicated, loyal, passionate party person.
The former aspirant, who said that she took part in the build up to the final phase of the reconciliation, added that her desire is to see a develop and prosperous Ikorodu.

“I attended two of the supposed meetings (reconciliation by the 15 aspirants).”
When asked about her stance on the emergence of Prince Ladega and Mr Alogba as the APC chairmanship and vice chairmanship candidates in the forthcoming LG elections, Aarebinrin Oba said:
“The bigger picture is my beloved great and mighty Ikorodu. I have put in too much to give up on it. Still a lot of work to be done but just as I said…APC party supremacy for me is 100%.

“I have proved that time and time again. Grow IKORODU is very much a work in progress. It is a project for us all. Together, we will build and berth the Greater Ikorodu Lagos Nigeria Rising. For us, it is now fortified hope @Renewed Hope.
“On the March again we go… GOD IS IN THE WORKS…
“I am positively an addicted PROGRESSIVE …
“We believe too much in this Land”, she added.

Recall that Aarebinrin Olabanji – Oba, aspired for the Chairmanship position in Ikorodu LG eight years ago but her boss, Hon. Wasiu, was favoured by the party. Also, four years ago, when she was favoured by the party with Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo as her running mate, she eventually lost to her boss again after interventions led by the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, on behalf of Hon. Adeshina.
