The chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming council elections in Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Liadi Kazeem, has urged residents of the council to come in their large numbers to vote for his party.
Liadi, who is from Ward C3, said that people are tired of the ruling party because of the situation in the country.
He spoke with THE IMPACT after his election as the flag bearer of his party.

“I give glory to Almighty God, that despite the challenges faced by our party, we are still well and okay. It is because of these challenges that many people are afraid to be with us, but with God, we have come out of it stronger and better and I believe that we are going to win the election.
We are going to win because, when you look at the situation in the country at the moment, people are actually tired of the ruling party, and I believe that people in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA will vote for the PDP.”
The PDP flagbearer appeared undaunted and so hopeful in his pontifications, “I am an indigene of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. I am related to Oreta, but many people know me as an engineer, due to my Aluminium Works. I am sure of winning the election.”

Speaking on his agenda, the PDP candidate said that his primary focus if elected would be an empowerment programme due to the situation in the country.
“My first agenda for Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, if God can grant my wish, is empowerment programme. Immediately I enter the council, I want to start with the Empowerment programme, because I know what is happening in the country, I believe with the empowerment we can achieve social and economic development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA,” he said.

The PDP candidate also charged residents to come out and vote for his party come July 12 elections.
“My appeal to people is to come out on July 12 to vote for their choice which is the PDP massively. They should not vote because of the money which some people will give to them, rather, they should vote for their choice. That is what I am appealing for,” he stressed.
