Ahead of the Saturday, May 10, All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), Chairmanship aspirant for Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has made passionate appeal to the delegates to see him as their son and servant who is going to the office to serve and not to rule over them.
Aroyewun said the council is more than just a council secretariat but a heritage, adding that he will work with stakeholders in making Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA a thriving and prosperous one .
The aspirant made the appeal in a statement issued ahead of the primary elections scheduled for APC state secretariat, ACME, Ikeja.

“Dear Esteemed Delegates, I greet you with profound respect and gratitude for your unwavering commitment to the progress of our beloved Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (IBLCDA) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“As a delegate in the forthcoming APC chairmanship primary election in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, you hold the sacred responsibility of shaping the future of our LCDA.
“I humbly reach out to you not just as an aspirant but as a son, brother, and servant of this land with a heartfelt plea for your vote.

“Igbogbo/Baiyeku is more than a local council; it is our heritage, and the cradle of our dreams. It is where our children play, our elders share wisdom, and our families build memories.
“I am rooted in this land and my heart beats for Igbogbo/Baiyeku. My vision is to work with all leaders and the people to achieve further transformation. Together, we will be able to make IBLCDA a more thriving, more prosperous, and inclusive LCDA where no one is left behind,”Aroyewun said.
He emphasised that his aspiration is not driven by personal agenda, but a clarion call to serve the people of the council.

“As I stand before you, I am driven by a burning passion to serve, not to rule. My aspiration to lead as Chairman is not about personal ambition but about answering a call to uplift our society.
“I have walked the streets of Igbogbo, Ibeshe, Baiyeku, Oreta, Offin, Ẹlẹ́pẹ̀, and other communities, listened to the hopes of market women, the dreams of our youth, and the concerns of our elders. I have seen the resilience in our communities and the untapped potential waiting to be unleashed.
“Your vote is more than a mark on a ballot; it is a vote for progress, unity, and a brighter future. With your trust, I pledge to lead with integrity, compassion, and unrelenting dedication to make Igbogbo/Baiyeku a model LCDA.

“I therefore appeal to your conscience, your love for Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, and your believe in the APC’s mission to choose a leader who will not let you down.”
While admitting that he does not know all, but said that he is ready to work selflessly and make sacrifices for the betterment of the council.
“I am not perfect, but my commitment to better our lots as a collective is unshakable. I am ready to roll up my sleeves, work day and night, and make sacrifices to prosper Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and gift upcoming generations a pride to inherit.
