-Charges them on coming out en mass to vote in LG elections

The representative of Ikorodu Constituents II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) has revealed that he has been able to facilitate many projects to his constituency in less than two years in the Lagos State House of Assembly because of massive votes recorded for his party in the last General Elections.
He charged them not to relent but to come out in their large numbers to vote and record more than the last election for him to continue to use that to bargain for projects and other dividends of democracy for them.
The lawmaker who said that he is fulfilled with his own performance as a legislator spoke at the weekend during the flag – off of his constituency projects in Ijede which was the construction of two roads..

“Why this road construction has come to Igbopa is because the Igbopa polling booth in the last general election had the highest votes in the whole of Lagos.
“This has been part of what I have been using to make cases whenever I am bargaining for projects in the house. This is exactly what we use in negotiating.”
“The first-term lawmaker also stated that it was also votes recorded by the party in Ikorodu in the last General elections that he used in demanding for additional cabinet position for Ikorodu.

“Let us come out en mass for the July council elections, so that I will continue to use your voting strength to talk on the floor of the house. I was the one that stood on the floor of the house to use the number of votes that Ikorodu recorded in the last general elections to clamour for the additional cabinet position.
“I told the house that with the number of votes recorded in the division, Ikorodu deserves more than just one commissionership position, that is why we also got the Special Adviser. If not for that, we would have been given one.
“I was able to present the statistics and there was nobody that was able to beat it,” he said.

Emphasising the need for the constituents to vote en mass in the coming LG elections, he said that their votes is the only way representative duty can be made easy for him:
“The only way that we can continue to do that is that we must all come out to vote in the coming local government elections in July. Let us continue to use our votes to speak so that we can always have something to bargain with and demand for development infrastructure.
“Thank God for what Igbopa did in the 2023 elections that has given me the power to talk. This has been giving me confidence to talk and why I got two roads out of 14 for Ikorodu Constituency I and ours which is Constituency II.

“I am appealing to you to come out to vote massively in the next election, so that we can continue to use it to bargain and negotiate for benefits for our people because that is the essence of sening us to the house of assembly.”
Assessing his own performance, Hon. Aro said that he is fulfilled and happy at what he has been able to do in less than two years as a representative of his people.
“I am happy after looking at the projects and other things that I have been able to do in less than two years. That makes me joyful and thankful to God.
It also makes me realize that God actually has a hand in my going to the Assembly to represent my people,” he said.
