The death of the Babaloja General Igbogbo Kingdom who also doubled as the Babaloja of Kaniyi Owode Market, Igbogbo, Alhaji (Chief) Mukaila Onabanjo, has been announced.
Late Chief Onabanjo is the Chief Executive Officer, Mikson Onas Hall, a very popular event centre at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu/Stadium Road, Igbogbo and a traditional banker who collected and kept people’s money.
This was announced by the former Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and the Babaloja General, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Prince Jimoh Ogunmuyiwa, Friday morning.
In a statement signed by Prince Ogunmuyiwa, he extolled the remarkable contributions of the late market leader.

“It is with profound sadness we Members of the ASSOCIATION OF COMMODITY MARKET WOMEN AND MEN OF NIGERIA (ACMWAMN) IBLCDA.received the news of the passing of our member and an illustrious son of Igbogbo, Babaloja Kaniyi Owode Market and Babaloja General Igbogbo Kingdom ALHAJI (CHIEF) MUKAILA ONABANJO.
“As we reflect on his remarkable life and legacy, we are reminded of the significant impact he had on Market Associations in Igbogbo Kingdom in particular and ACMWAMN,IBLCDA in general.”
The Babaloja General, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA also sympathised with the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, his chiefs, families of the late Babaloja and the entire market association in Igbogbo on the demise of Chief Onabanjo.
