The Ikorodu Students’ Association (ISA) has unveiled its plan to support the education of 100 intending JAMB candidates in the community with free JAMB forms.
The ISA President, Comrade Oshineye Rofiat, revealed this in a chat with THE IMPACT on Saturday, stating that the gesture is aimed at supporting the students in achieving their dreams in the face of the social and economic challenges bedeviling the society.
She also sought assistance from the public – spirited people or groups in supporting ISA by donating more JAMB forms to augment what they already have.

“We recognise the importance of formal education and given the current challenges of academic apathy in our society, we thought we should encourage young ones to take a worthy step in the direction of learning. This would give them a chance to secure their future.
“We have a target of about 100 students. We have sponsors for 50 already, and we are seizing this opportunity to call for more sponsors”, she pleaded.
She also charged parents and guardians on the need to support and encourage their wards to prepare very well for the forthcoming JAMB examinations.

“We expect the public to support their wards with the necessary encouragement to read and pass the examination.
“Students need an enabling environment to ensure focus and that’s where the parents/guardians can help. School is not a scam, let’s preach it together”, she said.
Meanwhile, the Musediq Alogba E – Library & Research Committee, a body of the Ikorodu Division Resource Development Group (IDRDG), has announced that it would commence its annual free Computer Based Training (CBT) for the 2025 JAMB candidates, soon.

The Chairman of the body, Prince Rotimi Ogunleye who spoke with THE IMPACT after the meeting of the body on Saturday, said that the training is part of the Group’s human resource development measures to encourage students to be computer literate.
He said that the exercise is to make Ikorodu students be in tune with the reality of the 21st century education which he said is computer based.
Prince Ogunleye, who was the former Commissioner for Urban Development and Regional Planning, Lagos State, informed our reporter that the committee would soon roll out publicity on commencement time and modalities of the training, and urged the ISA to also register beneficiaries of their free JAMB forms for the CBT training.
