Ikorodu Federal Lawmaker Congratulates Justice Abiru On Elevation To Supreme Court

The representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has congratulated the Honourable Justice Habeeb Abiru (South-west), on his appointment to the highest court in the country.

THE IMPACT had, on Wednesday, reported that President Bola Tinubu has sent the names of Justice Abiru and 10 other justices from Court of Appeal to the Senate for confirmation as Supreme Court justices, which was confirmed on Thursday.

Others confirmed are: Haruna Tsammani (North-east) who chaired the Presidential Election Petition Court, Moore Adumein (South-south), Jummai Sankey (North-central), Chidiebere Uwa (South-east) and Chioma Nwosu-Iheme (South-east).

Others are Obande Ogbuinya (South-east), Stephen Adah (North-central), Jamilu Tukur (North-west), Abubakar Umar (North-west) and Mohammed Idris (North-central).

Meanwhile, Justice Abiru town’s man and his representative in the House of Representatives, Rep. Benson, has congratulated him on his confirmation and appointment to the Supreme Court.

The three term lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defense, in a statement on Friday evening, which he personally signed, said that the appointment of the former Court of Appeal judge, is a well – deserved one.

“Heartiest congratulations on your recent appointment as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria”, Rep. Benson said.

“Your dedication, expertise and commitment to justice have rightfully earned you this esteemed position.

“Your years of hard work and unwavering passion for the law truly make your elevation to the Supreme Court well-deserved”, he said.

Rep. Benson said that the new Supreme Court judge will continue to uphold the rules of law with his experience over the years in the dispensation of justice.

“I have no doubt that your integrity, wisdom, and fair-mindedness will significantly contribute to upholding the principles of justice and equality”, he said.

“Your appointment is not only a testament to your capabilities, but also an inspiration to those around you.

“Wishing you continued success and fulfillment as you embark on this new chapter in your distinguished career.

“May your tenure be marked by fairness, compassion, and the utmost respect for the law”.
