Ikorodu Honours Lagos Agric Commissioner, Olusanya With Role Model Award

Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Lagos State, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, has bagged the 2023 Role Model Award of the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), at the ongoing annual Ikorodu Day Carnival.

The award was presented to her by the Ayangbure of Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba Kabir Adewale Shotobi, at the well attended award dinner ceremony held at the Ikorodu Town Hall, Ikorodu, yesterday.

Olusanya, the daughter of the former Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asipa Kaoli Olatunji Olusanya, is serving for the second term as the Commissioner for Agriculture in the cabinet of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu, the Governor of Lagos State.

She has initiated and implemented many policies that have changed the face of the agricultural sector in the state, and her contributions, since her appointment, have been felt in Ikorodu Division.

She has also initiated many empowerment opportunities for the youths in Ikorodu.

In the same vein, Otunba Adegoke Akinola Awomodu, the Otunba Anoko Ogbonyari of Ikorodu Kingdom, an astute businessman and humanitarian, was honoured with the IKODASS Heritage award.

Also, Chairman, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba (Hon.) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, former Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikorodu branch, Barr. Nurudeen Ogbara, Chief Mrs Sekinat Dosunmu Solebo, Mr Tayo Rasaq Olanrewaju, Brigadier General Bola Keeji, Mr Gbolahan Dixon and Mr Obafemi Afuwape, were all honoured with the IKODASS Fellow Awards.

Distinguished personalities that were honoured with the IKODASS Associates Awards were: Chief Oyewole Adebero, Mr Yinka Wasiu Adebayo and Inspector Abiodun Oguntade.
