Kunle Adelabu
The Ikorodu representative and Permanent Member, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LSUBEB), Dr. (Otunba) Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle, on Saturday, November 4, 2023, staged a talk of the town wedding ceremony for his beautiful daughter, Oluwadamilola Bilikis Ibikunle.
Dr Ibikunle, who is also the Special Adviser on Constituency Matter to the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, was joined by royal fathers, elected public officers, government functionaries, chieftains of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), political leaders and other eminent personalities, as the newly wedded couples were ushered into a new life in a very colorful, entertaining and classy wedding party.
At the White Stone Event Place, 3, Billings Way, Oregun, Lagos, the event of the event, Dr (Otunba) Saheed and Mrs Oluwatoyin Ibukunle, the bride’s parent from Ikorodu, Lagos, officially gave out Oluwadamilola Bilikis Ibikunle to her heartthrob, Olufisayo Eniola Aina and his parents, Mr Oluwakemi & Mrs Abisola Aina from Ago – Iwoye in Ogun State.
The main hall of the event place, which was tastefully decorated to give guests great treat, comfort and total relaxation, hosted both the traditional wedding and the wedding reception.
The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele, led other elected public officials which included Senator Tokunbo Abiru and wife, Rep. Babajimi Benson, representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson among others, to honor the couple and their parents.
His Royal Majesties Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi, the Ologijo of Ogijo, alongside many traditional chiefs, also graced the occasion.
Former Deputy Governor, Lagos State, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, First Secretary to the First Civilian Governor, Lagos State, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, APC chieftain, Chief Bode Oyelese and other chieftains represented the highest decision making organ in Lagos APC – governance Advisory Council (GAC) at the memorable event, while Dr. (Prince) Hon. Muhydeen Adeola Jokomba, the State Scribe of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, represented the party.
Government functionaries at the wedding were: Hon. Sunmi Lanre Odesanya, Special Adviser on DAWN & Southwest Integration, Lagos State, Dr. Nurudeen Agbaje, Special Adviser on Local Government & Community Affairs, Lagos State, and Otunba Dare Odufowokan, Senior Special Assistant to Governor of Ogun State on Public Affairs, and others.
Council Chairmen across the Lagos East Senatorial District also attended the ceremony. They included: Hon. Wasiu Agoro (Imota LCDA), Hon. (Otunba) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (Ikorodu West LCDA), Builder Sesan Daini (Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA), Builder Adeola Banjo, (Ikorodu North LCDA), Hon. Wasiu Adeshina (Ikorodu LG), Mayor Dele Osinowo (Agboyi – Ketu LCDA), Mayoress Samiat Abolanle Bada (Ikosi – Isheri LCDA) among many others.
