IKODASS Sets To Hold Second Olori Kudirat Shotobi Children’s Day Fiesta

The second edition of the annual and massive Olori Kudirat Abosede Shotobi Children’s Day Fiesta will come up on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Ikorodu Town Hall, Ikorodu.

The Publicity Secretary, Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Prince Osikoya Oludare (Oba), revealed in a statement laden with Yoruba song which he signed on behalf of the Ayangbure opf Ikorodu, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, GCOI, and the IKODASS.

He described the annual event, which started last year, as the greatest and largest Children’s Day celebration initiative in Ikorodu Division.

“Oun mo se mi s’omo gege, temi ye mi o (2ce)

“Bi’su omo ba jina, ko ma ma jo mi le nu o,

“Oun mo se mi s’omo gege, temi ye mi

“Guluso, Abiyamo feyin so”.

Translation: “I take care and celebrate kids because they are the future and I understand that very well”.

“This year’s event will be the 2nd edition of the Greatest Children fiesta in the history of celebration of our children in Ikorodu Division of Lagos State”, he said.

“This is made possible by our own Precious Jewel, the Olori of Ayangburen of Ikorodu, as being organised by IKODASS.

“Children are young and beautiful creatures; and with their innocent smiles and carefree spirits, they steal the hearts of many. Little wonder there is a day set aside to celebrate them. Children’s Day, which is celebrated in Nigeria on May 27th annually, is dedicated to celebrating children all over the world, and for adults to remember their childhood experiences.

“We pray that our children shall live to be great and useful to our community”, he added.
