Photos: Newly Rehabilitated Sporting facilities At Ita – Elewa Youth Centre

After months of temporary shutdown of the sporting facility at the Ita –Elewa Youth Centre in Ikorodu, due to rehabilitation work, the complex is fully back for the recreational activities of the youths in the neighbourhood.

You will recall that the 480 – seater capacity complex comprising of a 5 – aside football pitch, basketball court and facilities for indoor games and offices was commissioned by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, who was accompanied by the Special Assistant to the President on Millennium Development Goals (MDG), Her Excellency, Princess Adejoke Orelope – Adefulire and Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and other dignitaries in March, 2022.

But months after, the facility broke down and the facilitator, Rep. Babajimi Benson, the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency had to move contractor back on site to do a total overhauling of the

Rep. Benson, who was accompanied by two cabinet members of the Lagos State Government – Mobolaji Abubakri Ogunlende, Commissioner for Youth and social Development, and Dr Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, on Saturday, toured the facilities that has been completed.
