A non – governmental body with focus on mental health awareness and treatment, Easygold Initiative For Mental Health, has joined millions of people globally, in celebrating the International Teachers’ Day.

International Teachers’ Day is an annual event that holds every October 5.

The initiator of the newly created NGO, Mr. Temidayo Hassan, in a statement commemorating the Day, said that teachers are unsung heroes who have profound impact on the mental health and emotional development of students.

“Happy Teacher’s Day to the unsung heroes who educate not only the minds, but also nurture the well-being of our future generations”, the statement said.

“At EasyGold Initiative for mental health, we understand the profound impact that educators have on the mental health and emotional development of students. Your dedication to creating a safe and supportive learning environment is commendable.

“Today, we celebrate you for not only imparting knowledge, but also for being a source of inspiration, guidance and empathy. Your ability to recognize and address the emotional needs of your students is what sets you apart as true educators”, Hassan said.

He charged teachers to work with the platform in promoting mental health awareness in schools and the community at large.

“Let us continue working together to promote mental health awareness in schools, ensuring that every student has access to the support and resources they need to thrive emotionally and academically.

“Thank you for being the guiding lights in our classrooms and for contributing to a brighter, healthier future. Happy Teacher’s Day!”, he said thankfully.
