Ogunleye Urges Ikorodu Students To Strive For Excellence

The lawmaker representing the Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA), has urged students in Ikorodu, to always strive for academic excellence if they want to be great in life.

Ogunleye, who said that he is interested in assisting students to unlock their potentials towards developing Ikorodu, also said that he has constituted a committee to mentor them.

The State lawmaker gave the charge during the week, after distributing free GCE forms to 100 beneficiaries in Ikorodu, at his Constituency Office at Ipakodo in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Of Ikorodu Division of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria.

“Growing our knowledge economy to unlock the potential in students, is very important to me as your legislator, hence, the need to continue to invest in this direction”, Ogunleye said.

“I am pleased to inform you that we’ve distributed GCE forms to enthusiastic students in Ikorodu constituency. We have also completed important steps like data capturing and registration for these students.

“A committee has also been launched to mentor these first set of beneficiaries.

Urging students to be committed to their studies, Ogunleye said that he is also focus on other areas of Ikorodu development, and that he will be priotising the interests of communities in his constituency.

“I urge students to strive for excellence, aiming for scholarship opportunities that can support their educational journey”, he said.

“My commitment extends beyond education to all sectors, prioritizing the interests of the communities within Ikorodu constituency 1”.
